WELCOME TO OUR NEW WEBSITE
Whiteparish Garden Club is a lively, friendly club with nearly 80 members, for those who enjoy flower or vegetable gardening, whether experienced or inexperienced. Or for those who just enjoy gardens!
We are affiliated to The Royal Horticultural Society, and a member of the Hampshire Federation of Horticultural Societies
Our monthly evening meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of the month, in the Whiteparish Memorial Centre, starting at 7.15 pm with refreshments followed by a speaker, to finish at 9pm.
Our presentations cover a wide range of related topics from vegetables to pruning trees; designing a small garden to gardening for wildlife.
Evening meetings take place January to May inclusive, and September to November. Non members are always welcome, for a small charge.
During the summer months we concentrate on our outings: a day long trip by coach, one usually self drive to Wisley; and an evening visit more locally using our own cars. One or two extra small outings are often arranged, and we have a summer party/BBQ in a member's garden.
This special annual event has been an item of the village calendar for over 125 years, with classes of vegetables, flowers, fruit, crafts, art, floral decoration, photography, cookery and preserves.
It is organised by the Garden Club, but open to anyone to enter, whether living in Whiteparish or further afield.
There are special classes for children, and they can also enter adult classes.
Next Show: 16 August 2025
SHOW SPONSORS FOR 2025
We are very grateful for the local sponsors who have supported us this year:
Alderbury & Whaddon Gardening Club is our 'sister' club: we share some visits, and members are allowed to attend their talks, usually held on a Wednesday evening. See tab for more information
